Spanish rider Ana Carrasco has announced her signing with the Evan Bros Racing Team to compete in the first edition of the FIM Women's World Motorcycle Speed Championship, which will take place within the WorldSBK framework with 22 riders on their respective Yamaha R7s.
Following her impressive record in SSP, the 26-year-old rider from Murcia has confirmed her participation, which is particularly significant from a media perspective for the anticipated championship.
Carrasco's presence adds another dimension to the new WorldWCR, as the rider from Cehegín has spent a decade making a name for herself in motorcycling between the Moto3 World Championship and the Supersport 300 World Championship, where she spent five years and became world champion in 2018, being the only female rider to win an absolute world motorcycle title.
