LOWES REACHES THE PODIUM AFTER AN INTENSE WEEKEND

The heat wasn't the only challenge at the Most Circuit: Lowes DNFs in Race 1 and Bassani crashes on the last lap.

The Kawasaki Racing Team must still be on edge. Although Alex Lowes (#22) managed to secure the third spot on the podium after Sunday’s Superpole, the weekend wasn’t easy for the English rider: “It was a tough race, but I’m very happy to be back on the podium. I’ll take it after not scoring on Saturday. To get back on the podium here in Most, I honestly didn’t expect it, and the pace was very strong.

In the second race of the weekend, Lowes was penalized for a racing incident, resulting in a double long lap penalty. This caused him to lose many positions, although the final result wasn’t so negative. Despite this, Lowes remains in fourth place in the overall standings, just 20 points off third place.

Now, the riders will enjoy a summer break, necessary to unwind and recover from the intense stress of high-level competition. We’ll have to wait until August 9 to see them back in action at the Algarve International Circuit in Portugal.
