Ana Carrasco faces off against María Herrera while Alex Lowes secures his spot on the podium.
Teams sponsored by Puig are celebrating after an exciting weekend at Donington Park. Both Ana Carrasco #22 from Evan Bros Racing Team and Alex Lowes #22 from Kawasaki Racing Team popped the champagne. The number 22 seems to be the new lucky number, as both riders achieved excellent positions this past weekend.
Ana Carrasco maintained her lead after taking first place in the SuperPole and Race 1 on Saturday. The Murcian made history in the FIM Women's World Speed Championship by reaching the top step of the podium in the first Prosecco DOC Round in the UK on both Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, despite a close race with María Herrera, she was overtaken in the last corner and finished in second place.
Meanwhile, English rider Alex Lowes achieved his fifth podium of the year and his fifth WorldSBK podium at home. In Race 1, he finished in second place, and in Sunday's race, he finished 3rd. Competing at home was special for Lowes: "I’m very happy to be back on the podium in a long race at Donington Park, my home race. Many friends and family came, and it's nice to reward their support with a good race. I'm riding very well, I have confidence, and in our sport, confidence helps a lot. I'd say it's my best race at Donington."
The joy of both riders demonstrates success and dedication in their respective categories, marking a memorable weekend at Donington Park.
