Puig opens a product line to deal with the Covid-19

The motorcycle component manufacturer has developed acrylic panels for businesses facing the public.

The Coronavirus crisis has hit the functioning of our market hard, forcing the complete closure of much of our economic lung. This new reality will force us to modify some of our most rooted behaviors and has opened our eyes, placing the true heroes of our society where they should always be. Among those fighters are business professionals who remain open as being considered essential. Pharmacies, supermarkets, neighborhood grocery stores and many other places, which must carry out their duties in complete safety. For this reason, Puig has been involved in producing a line of high-quality acrylic cover panels.

The acrylic protective plates are made of 4 mm methacrylate and can be produced to measure for the buyer. They are priced from 30 euros and their delivery time is 2 to 3 days. Given that the needs will be very different, depending on the business to the public in question, Puig proposes three types of structures:

• Counter (Ref. 20330-20333): One of them has two supports to lean on a counter or table, with a window in the lower central portion to carry out transactions. This piece measures 900 millimeters wide by 800 mm high, leaving a space of 400x150 mm for the window.
• Ceiling (Ref. 20331): This structure includes two holes in the upper area, designed to be hung from the ceiling. The measurements are identical to the previous format with: 900 mm wide by 800 mm high, leaving a space of 400x150 mm for the window.
• Acrylic plate (Ref. 20332): An acrylic screen with measurements to be chosen by the client, upon prior estimate.

These plates will work to reopen, at the rate that the authorities allow, other types of businesses facing the public, such as restaurants and cafes. This element of protection is already being used in countries in the process of de-confinement.
